Memorial and Tribute Gifts



Celebrate someone with a gift to the San Diego River Park Foundation.

Give a gift in memory of a special person who loved nature or visiting the River. Or, give a gift to honor someone or mark a special occasion. Gifts can be as liitle as $20. All gifts unless they are for special opportunities listed below or designated by you, will go to the long-term health of the organization - either our endowment or reserves. In this way, you gift will truly leave a legacy.

If you like, we can send a card to a family member or the person you want to honor (we don't include the gift amount). If you are looking for something a little bit more, please contact us, and we can discuss available opportunities such as a commermorative bench, trail or Discovery Center tributes.


Current Special Opportunities

  • $250 - Adopt an Acre at Eagle Peak Ranch - plaque on donor creek crossing- Support Land Management Fund
  • $500 - River of Discovery River Rock at Discovery Center at Grant Park.
  • $1750 - Trailside Bench at Eagle Peak Ranch - dedicated bench with plaque - Support Land Management Endowment
  • $5000 - Bench at Discovery Center at Grant Park Bench - project in permitting, very limited offer - Support Building Fund
  • $20 - Support a tree being planted by a kid in our Nature Education Program (recognition on website and in annual report)
  • $15,000 - Student Research Endowment - support one student research stipen each year. The stipend will be named in tribute.
  • $10,000 - Endow a bus trip for a class to participate in Nature Education programs
  • $150,000 - $3,000,000+ Unique Naming Opportunity at Discovery Center at Grant Park (groundbreaking 2018)

Note: except for Plant a Tree, gifts can be single or a cummulative gift from more than one person. Space may be limited on recognition plaques.

There are many ways to make a tribute gift. Make an online gift using PayPal, donate by check by mail, calling us with your credit card information or donating appreciated stock are some of the most popular methods of giving.
